I began my journey in partner dance after being invited to an East Coast Swing dance social, where I leaned against a pole the entire night. After that experience, I was determined never to be in a similar situation again. This led me to take lessons at Houston's "World Famous SSQQ." Unfortunately, in August 2017, SSQQ was irreparably flooded and closed. It was at that time that I got involved with the Swing Junkies (WCS) and began participating in dance competitions.
